There are three examples that I feel have helped me become a master student from this class. I think this class has taught me a lot from school skills to just being a better person in certain aspects.
The first thing I have gained from this class is planning. I mean I have always kept a daily planner and wrote important things in it, but in this class it taught me more. I learned I need to plan out my homework and to make time in my schedule to complete it. I realize that school is my number one priority and I need to plan out my schedule wisely so I can fit everything in it and get my things done.
Secondly, I think the ability to take tests successfully is a very important quality to have. Especially in college you need to know how to take a test effectively. Honestly, this class helped me realize this and helped me get over the fear of test taking. I mean I know you’re always going to be nervous, it is human nature, but I think if you prepare, ask questions and actually study you will be better off.
Lastly, I have gained the ability to public speak, well…kind of. I’m still not one hundred percent comfortable, but I’m always going to be nervous and hate going in front of an audience. College essentials helped me with gaining the experience and confidence in this area. I realize that I’m not professional or anything, but I can tell I’m a little less nervous than I was before. Getting the opportunity from this class has helped me and will definitely help me in my future classes.
These are the three examples of my journey to becoming a master student. I think the skills and knowledge I have gained from this class will help me tremendously in the future. This class taught me a lot if important habits, but these three are the ones I chose and that stand out to me the most!
